Tiers of a Burger- Best Burgers South Florida

I must admit that I've cut back on my burger intake recently and I attribute that somewhat to the influx of burger joints and food trucks in the area. Burgersaturation!!  Nevertheless, they still hold a special place in my belly.  The following are the best of the best in South Florida according to ME and broken down into Tiers. (Listed alphabetically within each tier)

TIER ONE

Bourbon Steak - Sit back & relax at bar or in lounge with an Old Fashioned and Miami's best burger.
Shake Shack - Fast food casual serving gourmet burgers. That is a tasty burger...

TIER TWO

Burger & Beer Joint - Go on an empty stomach because this is a big burger.
Le Tub - This is a must do for every local at some point especially when weather cools down.
Michael's Genuine Food & Drink - Harry's Burgers??
Red Light - Everything Chef Wessel cooks is great and his burger is no exception.

TIER THREE

Char Hut- Dropped in tiers because of new spots but still best fast food burger after Shake Shack.
Charm City Burgers- Took a few visits to win me over but they did.
Sustain - Great burger, bun & bacon. Under seasoned only con for me.

TIER FOUR

Burger Fi - Wanna be Shake Shack was surprisingly good. Super slow service though.
Elevation Burger - In the Shake Shack mold but using "elevated" products. Organic, free range etc.
Five Guys - Reliable fast food burger. I prefer single over double.
Rok Brgr  - Burger & Beer Joint ripoff gets burger right. Still hesitant to recommend spot that can't spell...

A TIER of Their Own (great non-traditional burgers/food trucks that deserve their own tier)

gastroPod-Mo Better Burger, short rib, brisket and sirloin topped with poached egg, slaw and gPod sauce.
Meat Market- American kobe slider duo- bacon/white cheddar foie gras.
Sakaya Kitchen- Angus beef bulgogi sliders with spicy goat cheese, pickles, roasted pork & kimchi.
Sugarcane Raw Bar- Kobe sliders with tonkatsu sauce and fried quail egg.
The Rolling Stove(food truck)- steak burger (hold the onions though to avoid overpowering)

Busts (recent disappointments)
Bulldog Burgers
Five Napkins

Burgers to Eat List

db Bistro Moderne- sirloin burger filled with short ribs, foie gras and black truffles. I need to try this.
Clarkes - Still haven't been there.
El Mago de las Fritas- I need a Frita!!!
Whisk

Coming Soon

Smash Burgers
Umami Burgers

Please let me know if there are any new spots serving great burgers that I need to try.

Joe's Bar & Grill on A1A, Hollywood is a standout for me, love to hear your feedback. Clarke's burger is fantastic so is Cafe at Books and Books on Lincoln Rd.

No Filling Station? FAIL

I'm sorry, but the Miami Lakes Elevation Burger has taken the "green movement" thing a bit too far. It routinely feels about 78-80 degrees in there, and I end up sweating throughout my meal (I am of average build). The food is good enough, but the atmosphere is terrible. Hot, and often the tables and floors feel sticky/slippery. Blech.

Honestly speaking, finding the best burgers is not an easy task, but Harrison's Winebar on Harrison Street in downtown hollywood surprisingly serves the best, fresh, top ground sirlon burger made with lots of dedication and passion. The flavor is like non other!

I thought that picture was surely leading into something like "tiers of a clown."
Still haven't made it out to Char Hut, but hopefully soon. I have certain burger peeves though such as meatball burgers, thick-slice tomato (and onion), lack of salt, buns that fall apart (LeTub has slipped into this realm lately).

EH-I can;t place Joe's. Is that on the Broadwalk? Clarkes is on the to do list...

Anon- never been to Filling Station but will add to my to eat list. Noticed it isn't nominated for a Burgie...

Joel- only been to Coral Springs location. Your comment made me laugh

Anon- didn;t know they served food at Harrison's

Oaj- some of those burgers in the tier of own are first/2nd tier caliber for sure

Alison- shoot forgot to include Taurus on my to eat list.

Zilla- CHut is an oldschool favorite of mine. simple but great. There is one in west Hollywood (PP) off of Taft. Agree about buns and seasoning. Don;t have issue with LeTub place just makes me happy.
