Estrella "Spice" Wynwood Tapas 9/16-10/6/13

The Estrella Damm Wynwood Tapas Journey kicked off on September 16th and runs through October 6, 2013.  Participating restaurants are offering guests three tapas and a beer for $20.00.  This is obviously a sun way to try sample a few tapas style dishes with friends and drink some great beer.

I recently had the opportunity to do a crawl through Wynwood and sample some of the tapas being offered.
     
Pride and Joy BBQ

Pride & Joy BBQ was the first stop and featured the dish of the night, a delicious Hickory Smoked Duck Confit. 

Dishes: Fried Heirloom Tomatoes with Spiced Lemon Ranch; The “Proper” Pride and Joy Sausage with Caramelized Onions and Horseradish Mustard; Hickory Smoked Duck Confit and Corn Bread Pudding with Sunny Side Up Egg and Tangy Sweet BBQ Sauce

Promotion Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Stop two was Jimmy'Z Kitchen. 

Dishes: Bolitas de Queso with Guava Sauce; Chickpea Fritters with Mint Sauce; Arañitas with Mayo-Ketchup Sauce.

Promotion Hours: Every day during hours of operation. Sunday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Rincon Escondido

Dishes: Meat and Vegetable Bombas; Chistorra a la Sidra; Bombas de Queso

Promotion Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The Butcher Shop

Stop number four on the crawl was The Butcher Shop.

Dishes: Homemade Spicy Chorizo; Mongolian Chicken Wings; Pan-Seared Pierogies

Promotion Hours: Wednesday and Thursday: 6:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday: 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
