2009 NFL Suicide Picks Week 2

Not a bad start to the year. Our official pick on Baltimore came through despite being closer than anticipated down the stretch. Win and move on. That's all this is about. My other four recommendations also came through. I hope everyone survived.

Week two offers some interesting choices.

Houston will attempt to bounce back from the J-E-T-S loss against Tennessee. Good luck with that. I expect Tenn. to shut them down and Collins to move the offense enough to win by double d's.

Green Bay is home against the Bengals. I like Green Bay at home and expect them to win this game. However, I do not have a good read on the Bengals team yet. I think they can be dangerous and an upset special. Green Bay wins but I'm not comfortable using them this week.

Minnesota looks like a great pick on paper this week BUT they are on the road facing a division rival. Big no no's. It's an aggressive play that should come in but I will stick to my rules. Avoid road teams and division rivalries.

Washington heads home to face the Rams. What more do you need? I know Washington is mediocre and trust Coach Spags will have the defense ready but Washington's defense will stuff them and the Rams will have a difficult time scoring even with SJax. Washington wins.

In a nutshell, this is a really tough week. I like all four plays but they all have some legitimate concerns. I'm rolling the dice with Washington at home over the Rams.

Good Luck

Washington lost to the Rams at home last year and probably sent a lot of people to their deaths that week. Hopefully, you didn't roll snake eyes!

Im going with Minnesota. Yes, its a division rival but the Lions have one of the worst rushing defenses in the league. AP is gonna have a huge day. Plus, you know Favre had to watch tape of Brees torching them last week. He may step into the juvenation machine and go off as well.

Im not sold on GB after last week's performance. They shouldve killed Chicago but they looked confused on both sides of the ball. Tenn and Houston are pretty much the same team with Houston having a better passing attack. As much as St Louis sucks, so does Jason Campbell. My man, Colt Brennan, should be getting the nod. Kid is good and needs a shot.

Yes. Glad to be done with Washington. Got lucky last week. Week 3 looks tough

Week 3 is only tough if you are trying to stay away from divisional matchups, otherwise there is an obvious pick. I prefer to stay away from divisional games but the only alternative is to take a team with a backup QB just because they are at home against a less talented team. I think I am going to wait and see your comments before I submit my pick.
