Burger Battle Miami/Broward

The Chowfather is a huge burger fan and always on the lookout for a GREAT burger. Unfortunately, not many qualify down here. I had a great one at Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay in Vegas recently but I'm here to discuss our options in Miami and Broward.
I recently tried Five Guys Burgers and was underwhelmed. It was okay and very good compared to fast food burgers but doesn't make my list.

1. Char-Hut- This is an outstanding burger. Fresh and you can watch them grill them while you wait. They have a few locations in Broward but I prefer the Davie and Pembroke location over the Sunrise one over on University. The buns are never fresh at the Sunrise location and the burgers are better at the other two.

2. Le Tub- On the water in Hollywood. Great spot to grab a beer and a huge tasty burger.
3. Kingdom- small open air sports bar over on Biscayne Blvd serving big juicy burgers.
4. Jack's Old Fashion Hamburgers- Located on Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale. On the small side but fresh.

Honorable mention: Sonny's Famous Steak Hogies. They key here is the bread. They bake their bread on site and it is great. Impossible to order the burger though because the cheesetake is a must do.

I thought Le Tub was overrated honestly.

The best burgers I've had in Miami has been the Loggerhead in the Grove or any other Flanigans and the News Cafe on Ocean Drive.

Never heard of Char-Hut until now, so I'll definitely give it a try one day.

And if you go to Flanagan's, I recommend the Caribbean Burger.

I love Char hut. I love le Tub.

Another great Burger is at Houston's if you can stomach the wait and the price.

Carlos, I've had burgers at Flanigan's in the past and they were good but don't make my top 4. Check out Char-Hut, I think you will be happy.

Jeff, don't recall ever having a burger at Houston's. Will try one next time I'm there.

I'll have to try charhut! I live very close to Jack's and I love it. The minimum size you need is the 1/3 lb. They can run small, but are fresh and juicy.

Le Tub is also great, I dont see why people complain about it so much.

Last weekend, I tasted one of the best burgers I've ever tasted at Jake's Bar and Grill on Red Road just south of US 1.

I highly recommend it.

The best burger in Miami is found at the Keg South on US 1 and SW 112 St. Flannigans and Houston's serve their burgers on a huge bread bun - kinda takes aways the meat's flavor. Gonna go out now and give Jake's Bar burger a taste.
