Best Pizza South Florida

Leaning Tower of Pizza

The NFL season starts this weekend so I figured it was the ideal time to update my Pizza Rankings.  Skip Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa John's and head over to one of the fantastic spots listed below.

Before I get to the rankings I must sadly inform you that Pizzeria Oceano is no longer serving pizza. This is a big loss for South Florida.  However, they recently opened a new spot in Delray Beach  called Swell Pizza which I suspect will make this list after I pay them a visit.

We lost a great one but I am happy to announce that there is a new addition to the list.

These are the best of the best spots for Pizza in South Florida.  Go support them.

*Rankings primarily based on standard cheese pies. Quality and flavor of the dough, cheese, sauce & crust are more important than toppings for me. But they can certainly enhance a pie.

ONE

LUCALI (South Beach)

*The calzone (with sauce) is one of the best dishes in town. Must get.

TWO

IRONSIDE PIZZA (Miami)

THREE

KINGS COUNTY PIZZA (Aventura)

MAURO'S (Downtown Hollywood)

FIVE

CAFE LA BUCA (Pompano Beach)

SIX

EIGHT

NICKS NEW HAVEN PIZZERIA & BAR (Boca Raton & Coral Springs)  *White Clam & Bacon is the play.
