SUMMER DINNER SERIES AT JOHNNY V LAS OLAS, FORT LAUDERDALE
Starting Thursday, June 26 and on the last Thursday of every month through September, the summer dinner series prepared by chef Johnny Vinczencz features a different theme: the first is Barbequlooza – a celebration of American BBQ served family-style ( $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity) with summer cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres followed by dinner. Future dinners are scheduled for July 31, August 28 and September 25. Seats are limited to 40 attendees and must be reserved in advance. Johnny V is open for lunch Sunday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner nightly 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and till midnight on weekends. 625 East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. I believe the most important elements to a successful stir fry is having the right tools and techniques so you can be a Wok Star!
You'll start the class with my yummy Rainbow Lettuce wrap while you get acquainted with others, see complete menu below. I focus on homestyle, weekday, 30 minute, one-dish meals and many will get a chance to participate. Very engaging and interactive, you will learn "everything you need to know about stir frying" and feel liberated with my "no recipe, no measuring, no calorie counting" approach.
I emphasize using a few fresh ingredients, so dinners are healthy yet delicious but also quick and easy to make. There will be door prizes, tons of tips, printed handouts and you'll learn the inside scoop on the best Asian brands and where to find them.
Spaces are on a first come, first serve basis, those who prepay will be guaranteed their space(s). So, please don't leave till last minute and be disappointed when you cannot get in...
